The edit menu can be called up by depressing F2, or pointing $
clicking on the EDIT option. The menu contains the following $
options: $
MASS SYMBOLS UPDATE - Select this option to delete all $
occurances of any symbol, replace 1 symbol with another $
or fill all blank squares with any symbol. $
SCALE - Select this option to change the size of the image by $
scaling it up or down (height), in or out (width). $
CUT & PASTE - The image is drawn, and a box is shown. Using the$
box, you can can delete, copy or move sections of the $
image. The size and shape of the box can be by moving any$
of the 4 sides of the box. $
EDIT ROWS/COLUMNS - Select this option to add, clip, delete or $
insert rows and/or columns. You can DELETE or INSERT rows$
and/or columns anywhere within the image. You can ADD $
rows and/or columns to the edges of the image. You can $
CLIP the edges of the image by bring in the edges $
CHANGE SYMBOL COLOR - You can change the CURRENT symbol color by$
selecting any color in the current palette. $
REMINDER: IF YOU CHANGE THE SYMBOL COLOR, SAVE THE IMAGE $
AS AN XTS FILE OTHERWISE YOU WILL LOSE THIS ASSIGNMENT. $
CHANGE COLOR PALETTE - You can change the colors in the palette $
by selecting the color you want to change. You will then $
be presented with 3 bars for the RED, GREEN and BLUE $
components of the color. You can change these values to $
get the desired color. $
TOGGLE COLOR/B&W SYMBOLS - This options toggles between colored $
symbols and black symbols. $
TOGGLE BACKGROUND SYMBOLS - This options toggles between showing$
the background symbol and not showing the symbol. $
REDUCE NUMBER OF SYMBOLS - This option will allow you to reduce $
the number of symbols used in the image. You can reduce $
the number to 128, 64, 32 16, or 8 symbols. You can use $
one of 6 dithering algorithms. (See dithering) $
RESTORE IMAGE - This option re-loads the original (or lastest $
saved) image. $
